are you? a tranny? …i-am.

2 great reads for your heartbrains:

Tha Man Sam: son of T

on intra-community support, pain, love, and “someday soon, we all intuit how meaningless any of this actually is”

& Kate Bornstein’s

“when bad movies happen to good people” – the ticked off trannies with knives at tribeca film fest controversy

here’s my concept of gender journeys:

tran map 2

the center ring involves the female to male continuum.  there’s quite a spectrum of gender journeys between the female and male points (note there are no specified points): including transsexual men & women; cisgendered women & men; trans women & men; passing men & women; transgendered, two-spirit, bigendered, questioning, genderqueer, intersexed, and gender fluid people; transvestites; crossdressers; drag kings & queens; trannies; woman-born-women; man-born-men; woman-born-men; man-born-women; m2f’s; f2m’s; mtf’s; ftm’s; others; and… both… and…

each concentric ring beyond the idea of the female to male center, offers space for trans-gender-journeying: ‘trans’ as over and beyond the binary.  possibilities for ever-expanding concentric rings include agendered & third gendered people, others, people who disidentify as gendered, and those questioning.

please help me learn/know/understand your wild & wonderful ways of identifying and experiencing gender or lack there of!

(seemingly redundant terms are shared for people’s personal identities.  nuance, naming and self-identifying are vital.  nama rupa, yha.  i will not limit anyone to a label, and i will honor any label one chooses.  if you are one to feel certain identities more or less on sometimes days, you change your nama rupa/label however whenever you like!)

may you be free.

i honor and respect you beyond the beyond, in time out of time.
